The TSMC Continues with their Big Give Back!

On November 14 and 15, The Triangle Sales and Marketing Council (#HBATSMC) partnered with Rebuilding Together of the Triangle as part of the Big Give BACK (#BigGIveBack) to help a local homeowner.

The homeowners’s HVAC was replaced last year through a partnership with Duke, and her roof through a partnership with PNC Foundation, but she had been waiting for nearly a year for help to tackle the rest of the work. She needed windows, flooring, gutters, painting, landscaping, and other work to make the home safe and healthy.

The homeowner, Delaine Ingram, is an elderly, disabled woman who has lived in her East Durham home for over 18 years. Delaine’s 17 year old grandson lives with her and he is just starting his senior year in high school. Delanie worked as a Cosmetologist for many years and she began having problems with her breathing due to inhaling the chemicals that she used on her clients. Delaine’s doctor ordered her to stop working due to her respiratory issues. Through partnerships with Duke Energy and the PNC Bank Foundation, RTT was able to replace the leaking roof, install a new HVAC system, replace the appliances, and fix a plumbing leak in the home.

The TSMC Big Give Back volunteered to complete the rest of the work, including windows, fascia, painting, landscaping and flooring repairs. The financial investment and volunteer commitment from the TSMC on Ms. Ingram’s home give her a safe, healthy home for years to come.
